My Lord Died For Me

Man can not comprehend the pain and suffering endured,

The torment and humiliation underwent,

Blood, sweat, and tears that fell from your brow,

While high upon the cross on the hill,

Why the tormentors could not see, I do not understand,

My Lord held the power of our Father in his hands,

The love of people expelled deep from his heart,

Comfort throughout words expressed by his lips,

No judgment bestowed through his eyes,

Healing power by his tender touch,

Why the tormentors could not see, I do not understand,

Made to carry his wooden cross through the path of non believers,

While upon his head a crown of thorns,

Thorns that pierced the brow of my Lord,

Sending blood, sweat, and tears down a face clinched in pain,

No human could endure this pain and torment,

Why the tormentors could not see, I do not understand,

For the pain and torment my Lord bared for me,

I raise my hands up to God,

For I see, I understand,

To be free of my sins,

My Lord died for me!
